Opening Question:

1. When was the last time you took time for yourself? How was that experience? What did you do?

Digging Deeper:

1. Read Luke 10: 38-42. What stands out to you in these verses? Who do you identify with more, Mary or Martha? Why?

2. What distracted Martha from being with Jesus? What is the one thing needed that Mary chose?

Life Application

1. How did you score on the Pace of Life Index (from the sermon notes)? Did it surprise you? What would you say is the most important thing in your life? Does your schedule show this?

2. Why is it so important for us to take time to rest, slow down and spend time with God? What does that look like for you in your life?

3. In our super fast, high paced world, what does it look like for us to have balance? What are some things you can do to have more balance in your life?

4. In the story of Mary and Martha, Martha was distracted from what was most important. What are some of the things that can distract you from what really matters? What are some ways to help eliminate those distractions?
