Good Friday // April 15

As a reminder, our Good Friday Service will be at 5:30 pm.  We will be taking Communion and remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for us because of his great love for us. WA Kids will be meeting as well.

Easter at Wilshire // April 17

Easter is almost here! Be sure to invite your neighbors, friends, and family to join us at our 9am traditional service or 10:30am contemporary service. Pick up an invite goody bag from the church office during the week or on Sunday morning to give to a friend or neighbor. WA Kids will be having a Peeps party with activities designed specifically for them. We can’t wait to see you this Easter!

Rooted  // APR 24

Get Rooted This Spring!  Rooted is a 10 week small group experience that teaches people what it means to be a follower of Jesus, built on faith’s foundational elements such as worship, generosity, service, evangelism, prayer and studying God’s word.  Rooted is designed for those who are new to the faith as well as those who have been followers for many years.  If you are new to Wilshire or have been around a while but never gone through Rooted we encourage you to sign up.

Rooted will take place here at Wilshire Avenue on Sunday mornings from 9:00am-10:15am on the 3rd floor starting on Sunday, April 24th.  Cost for the material is $30. Scholarships are also available if needed.  If you have questions, please email bryan@wilshireave.com

Sunday Morning Welcome Team

We have been having more and more new people joining us here at Wilshire Avenue and we are looking for more warm and friendly faces to help us at our 10:30 worship service to welcome people as they come to worship with us.  We ask that you arrive at 10:15 and help to greet people, handout bulletins and any other items we may have.  If you are interested in helping on a rotation (doesn’t need to be every week), please email angie@wilshireave.com

Park Clean up at Byerrum Park // APR 10

We have been going as a larger group to clean up once a month at Byerrum Park on the corner of Chapman and Raymond and it has been a great opportunity to love and bless our city.  During the next few months of April and May we are unable to go as a large group because they are using the fields on Sundays for soccer.  If you as an individual or family are able to go on your own at your convenience and help to pick up trash at the park that would be wonderful.  If you do go, please send me an email at bryan@wilshireave.com to let me know you went so I can let the city know.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) // APR 20

At MOPS, we gather moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. That’s why we rally women, in their own neighborhoods, to help them become more brave, kind and honest, one gathering at a time. So, whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom or seventh-time mom, you are welcome!

MOPS meets in person on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9:15 – 11:15 AM.

DATES:
April 20, May 4 & 18, June 01

COST:
Mom = $50
1st child = $45
Additional child(ren) = $40

Colombia Church Plant

God is doing amazing things at the church we helped plant in Colombia. The building is currently under construction but that hasn’t stopped the believers there. The church is making a difference in the community and meeting under a tree to worship and have service. Please continue to pray for Colombia as their COVID numbers have increased recently.
